• Exhausting Weekend

I got many project last week, and the peak was at weekend. I prepared for pitching forum and sharing session in Ministry Education and Culture. This event was organized by National Book Committee  from 29th-30th September 2016. One of best author from Pustaka Obor Publishing (actually my workplace), Hanna Rambe, had a chance to present with the theme “From Page to Screen”. She wrote a historical novel titled “Aimuna dan Sobori” in original version and “Cloves for Kolosia” in English version. Her novel was chosen by the committee because it was very deep knowledge and it imagined clearly about historical of cloves in Moluccas. To write this book, she researched thirty years, asked many professors, read many books, and came to the museum for accompanied information to fix her writing.
I admire Mrs. Hanna Rambe. She  inspired me when she told me about her experience. I was really happy when I heard the announcement about accepting her novel in this event. I prepared to register this event for 7 days, because this event required summary of the novel in English, curriculum vitae and original book’s file. I called my friend who was very good at translating, her name was Adibah. Mrs. Hanna Rambe summarized the novel for 3 days, and there will be 4 days left before deadline. It is very short time to the translation. I called my friends and I hope she was ready to finish this challenge. When I called her, she didn’t answer my calling. I was very worried, because besides of this project I have to prepare some events in Indonesia International Books Fair (IIBF) 2016 that had been held from 28th September to 2nd October. This event happens at the same time with The Pitching forum, so I must ask   my work partner to take one or two event.
In the evening, I called Adibah again. And God blessed me, she answered my calling and was ready to finish the translation. I sent the requirement in the end of deadline. After I got the announcement, I gave it to Mrs. Hanna Rambe. She was very happy, I was touched by her. And then we prepared to show in Pitching Forum. We made slide of presentation, editing handout and searching more information about the Producer. Two great Producer from Germany will come to this event, we felt so amazing and we thanks for the committee who invited us. We really hoped   our novel will be accepted by the Producer and will  have a movie based on this book in  German.
After The Pitching Forum finished, my project was not over. I must do other events in IIBF 2016. Among others are Pre-Launching Bosnia Poetry, Book’s Launching Kajian Perempuan Malaysia-Indonesia dalam Sastra, Korean Poetry Competition and Story Telling. So, It was very exhausting. I needed more energy to study in the evening because I had many targets. One of my targets is improving my English skills. So even though I am tired or not, I must manage my spirit to get a successful. (Irf)
